It is a story of brotherhood and uprightness. The sworn friendship of Zuo Botao and Yang Jiaoai begins with a selfless sacrifice and concludes with an endeavor that risks life and limb. They become each other’s hero.

Blood Brothers departs from the traditional concept of hero by focusing on individuals who ``sacrifices his own life to create success for others.`` Futthermore, the traditional performance style of Budaixi (Taiwanese traditional glove puppetry)—which blends storytelling, puppetry, and singing—is deconstructed into three distinct elements. In addition, the stage structures typically relied upon in Budaixi are removed. Instead, the space is reumagined using the suspension system of modern theater. This three-pronged approach seeks to expand the expressive possibilities of Budaixi within the realm of contemporary theater.
